Punch-Drunk Love is an important movie to me because its authentic. It has a sincerity that I don't really come by in movies anymore? Just generally I don't see that reach for compassionate intelligence like I do here. This movie's also important to me just because I relate to the main character. Barry Egan is awkward, sensitive, and passionate. and I am very much the same way. I love this movie and it continues to mean more and more each time I watch it.Along with this, just as a movie it's probably one of the more memorable I've seen. Strong acting, strong visuals, and an engaging hook make this an instantly entertaining time. It's so accessible too, to anyone who needs it.

This is one of those albums that just kinda doesn't go away? I consistently listen to twin fantasy because of its ability to be specific and universal and loving and tender. Its an album that makes me cry, but its worth that experience. The cry is apart of the experience. And as I listen to it more and more, I realize thats the most important part. (Both face to face and mirror to mirror are great btw.)

another movie where the main character is somebody I feel a strong kinship towards. I don't know exactly what it is about this movie? its goofy, and its funny, and it is sad, and it is beautiful. but I don't really think I go to this movie because of any of those things. I think I watch this movie because it forces me to see a greater perspective. Beyond just me.
